    Default Kevin Doyle

Everton supposedly after him if they can't agree a fee with Rangers for Jelavic.

Know he hasn't had a great time of late with Wolves but could be available for 5m, has a relatively decent record in the PL for a target man, and would seem to fit the MoN mold for a striker (strong, good in the air, able to hold the ball up, experienced, played in the PL). 28 years old so would seem a better long term bet than the likes of Davies.

Of course would rather Fletcher but he would cost 12m + if Wolves would even consider selling him I reckon, so would Doyle be a useful alternative?

Always rated Doyle, he's a real handful for defenders.

Doyle would fit perfectly into our team, particularly as a centre forward, primarily because he does not score goals either.

I read something about Wolves lining up a possible replacement for Doyle, suggesting he's on his way. If this meant we could get him for a cut price fee, he might be worth a look. Works hard but his goal scoring record is shocking this season. Not sure if he holds the ball up particularly well either.

Him and Gardner are both valued around the 5/6m mark so would seem a pretty perfect swap deal really.

Not a chance they'd sell Fletcher mind, I doubt they'd let him go for less than we got for Bent tbh.

Fletcher is Doyle's replacement IMO, Same type of player but Fletcher is just better. Wolves are looking at that Nicky Maynard which suggests that they're wanting somebody to play off Fletcher.

Head and shoulders above Wickham as things stand so if we can get him cheaply or in a swap with Gardner i would be all for it......and we can then do the right thing by Wickham and send him out on loan.
