As far as underserved victories goes
That's right up there
We were outclassed and outplayed all over the pitch apart from our proverbial counter attacks we offered very little again in the final third.

Why? He's absolutely spot on. We got a footballing lesson today, but snuck it on two quality strikes, which they couldn't muster despite dominating possession for 75% of the game.
It's strange really. In the Bruce part of the season we sometimes didn't get the points that our general play deserved. In the MON part of the season, we're getting the points that our general play didn't deserve, based on some quality goalscoring and valiant back line defending by players that Bruce signed.
I'm starting to believe in pixie dust. MON has it, Bruce didn't.

I'd rather have a lucky manager than a good one. But I'll take the good & lucky one that we seem to have at the moment, please

So would I!
But it amazes me how many posts on this thread claim our inability to control and move the ball like Swansea did as a tactical victory, as if it was somehow intended.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, I'm simply frustrated he can't enjoy a 2-0 victory after the shite bruce served up. Why sit and pick at negatives?

Imagine that game without the two moments of Sess/Gardner genius, and with the pie eater on the sidelines instead of MON.
It would have been more "shite that Bruce served up". FACT.

The Sess/Gardner moments came by soaking up pressure than getting at them on the break. Those were the moments that won the game, but it was tactics that prevented Swansea from barely testing Mignolet.

I don't think MON's tactical masterplan involved our midfield being shite for most of the game, nor our defence to keep launching airballs upfield that we lost 100% of, nor avoiding putting 3 fluid passes together for over half the game.
Read the match reports in tomorrows papers. It'll be interesting to see how many say the best team won.

I'm a bit surprised about some of the personal abuse to be honest, probably shouldn't be though
I'm as happy as anyone else we won ffs
