Yep, Zenit fans are a nightmare. Most Russian clubs have some trouble from time to time, but it's noticeable how many of those times are when they are playing Zenit. Didn't see this incident, mind. Was at the hockey.

And you don't have to be black to upset them. Vova Bystrov returned after a spell at Spartak to be jeered - more or less universally - after scoring for Zenit on his (second) debut. Because joining Spartak was a betrayal, innit? He had a particularly crap afternoon a few weeks later when Spartak went to Petersburg and everyone booed him.

Funny thing is, the fans of Petersburg's hockey team are exactly the same. 'Window on the west'? Zhopa rossii, more like.

(I don't much like Petersburg. Does it show?)
