    Default Mickey Horswill on Rooney

Talking about Rooneys 2 match man in todays Northern Echo " I think Wayne Rooney should be hung up by his nuts and swung from the nearest lamp posts. He knows that he is under scrutiny for every minute of the game its not as if he isn't aware of it. Its the same as spitting I hate to see that on the tv. He deserves everything he gets its one thing after another with Rooney he's a strange guy. "

I don't get to hear his pearls of wisdom on the radio but I have to say I agree with his principles on this one - though maybe not necessarily his punishment. It wasn't the fact that the guy swore, it was the fact that he looked down the lens of a camera broadcasting to millions of people and swore.

    Not unlike me really.

Seriously though, I know you will all say I am talking utter shite by having the spite to suddenly accept as the status quo whatever is the opposite of whatever my point is, but I have to say it ain't just the fact he swore that botheres me.

It is the fact it is a professional Premier League football player, and one of it's top stars to boot, and one of this county's most idolised amongst kids. I wonder how many kids would say 'Wayne Rooney' if asked "Who do you most want to be like?" In every way he ought to be way above that sort of thing. And for me he not only offended so many people but also let them down and dissapointed them.

And what is more, I know you will all say "he was fired up" and will agree, but I felt he was totally ignorant of the fact kids would be watching at home and in the front row at Upton Park.

Mickey's right on this one, and that was a good post SBC.

I'd take it further, and fine those Man U players who've been moaning in the press about the ban.

Most of what he says is crap but agree with him 100% here. Rooney is thick as 2 short planks.

Rooney is lucky to be just getting a 2 game ban.

    Disgusting behaviour.
