Dont understand the mentality
of fans that think the fa cup does not matter
it is arguably our best chance of finally winning something and many seem to dismiss it as meaningless i would have loved it if we had progressed to the latter stages

Its the mentality of the modern day football fan who thinks finishing in the top 10 is something to be wanked over. Didn't know you got a trophy for that like.

Beating Notts County in the 3rd round won't raise our profile or attract better players to strengthen the team.
Finishing in the top 10 and/or qualifying for Europe will.

The fact that we're almost safe means this was a real opportunity to have something to show for our efforts and we blew it.
Poor attitude from all at the club.

Anyone can have a jammy run to a cup final. The league position is what potential incoming players consider before signing. 6th this year and European football earned over 38 games would get us better players next year than winning the FA Cup.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to win it but given the choice it's got to be the league, so we can get into a position of having the squad to get to cup finals on merit rather than random chance.

I'd rather finish 6th than beat Notts County in the Cup in the third round.

Makes you wonder why we even both going for Europe.
Most fans will probably have the same attitude towards Europa ties.
