Just as well there was no internet around when he was sold. There would have been hell on.

Too right. It would have been the end of civilization as we know it. I was at college when we sold him and I just sat and cried. The sale of Jones does not register on the same scale as the sale of Toddo.

I see him most weeks during the summer as he is a frequent attender, with one of his sons, at both CLS CCC and Durham CCC.

    Really nice bloke.

The internet started in 1957 when the Soviets sent Sputnik into space. It was just in time for our first relegation the next year.

We haven't got a hope.I have a sense of dread. Damage limitation next year I feel.

Serving in British Honduras (Belize) when the news came as I received it on my military radio listening to the world service and BFBS.

Me and a couple of marra's ended up on the lash, choking all bloody neet and couldn't believe it.

Two things that Taff Jones won't be able to say

He was transferred for a BRITISH RECORD

He will be missed by all and I mean ALL of us

For fuck's sake, haven't we got enough centre halves without buying one who was past it 30 odd years ago? Bruce out

Were we ever realistically likely to hold onto Todd once we'd been relegated and he'd been overlooked by England?
