I know one of the lads from the reserves more than happy to PM a few of the regulars if they want to know my source. Just been texting him for a bit.

Valdez - Not happening, Bruce has stated that he wants a young striker that he knows can cut it in the EPL

Ireland - Is the player we have made the bid for today. Rumoured to be around the 7M mark.

Lavezzi - As a club, SAFC have apparently never seen him play.

N'Zogbia - Wigan have told us they want in excess of 7m for him, plus add-ons.

Young striker - thats the one player that he hasnt really got anything on... So at the moment our guess is as good as anyones.

Angeleri - His clearance is due Friday night/ Saturday morning.

Outs :

Fulop - Blackpool are supposed to be interested as are Bolton as a jaaskelinen (sp?) replacement

Cana - After he left, he was bragging to some of the SAFC players telling them how his wages have been doubled at his new club.

Three of the players who were in the original starting XI last night are all due to meet representatives of clubs from the CCC over the next 2 days.

Well we all know we are trying to improve the 1st 11 and he squad. If Ireland and N'zogbia come that would be great but somehow unless the 'targets or their agents' leak to the press I cannot see SB and Sir Naill chatting to all and sundry on the training pitch etc. about who they are bidding for.
It does however make sense to come out and squash rumours if we are not interested in a player.
Yes I think we need a 4th striker, a LB and a winger.
I have completely lost where we are with the CB saga, Mensah, Sol C etc. Anyhow I would play Da Siva and Turner and if Mensah is prepared for a pay as you play get him as well. ALso I have not heard if Anton is leaving (I suspect his wages are quite high|)..so may be a problem shifting him, although I think he is a good squad player for CB or RB

I think you're being a bit unfair......there's names, fees, dates etc.....all very easy to look back on retrospectively and see how accurate he was.

To be fair the only fee he mentions is 7 million. I have a feeling if he'd mentioned us being linked to Rooney he would have quoted the same figure.
