I reckon we should try and bat through to the last 30 mins and providing we have a decent lead and they don't have enough overs, then we should declare. Just to be annoying

Keep the bastards here as long as possible. Even if we lead by 100 with 5 overs left in the game.

Even with a lost day, still feel Warwicks should have won this. By my reckoning, the run rate only hit 3 runs an over when Barker was in. For most of their innings they were plodding around 2.2ish an over. Fair enough this could be turned into a positive that we will grind teams down and while not taking wickets can take the result away from them by keeping the bowling tight and not allowing a great deal of runs. Doesn't help the fact that batting seems to have gotten easier as the 3 days have gone on.

The word from Day 2 was that whilst we didn't take wickets, we never allowed them to get away from us. It's that kind of fighting quality we've always had and which has probably saved us again.

Still, if we do save it, it's thanks mainly to the weather. Then, we were owed anyway and IMO still are owed one more at the very least if the weather gods do indeed even themselves out.

I think we may see some fireworks from Rocky if he's still there when the deficit is erased.

Batting was clearly difficult on day one and Warks had problems day two also, probably a combination of pitch and good bowling.
