I'm with you Becs. I've been eating crap since I retired. Need to get slimmer for my lad's wedding in May. Don't want to ruin his pictures.
Aww that's a good incentive to work to

I'm meant to be in such a severe calorie deficit that there shouldn't be any significant muscle gain. I'm in at least a daily 1000 calorie deficit according to most forumla'sMight be muscle gain?
Quick check tonight, almost out of the 16 stones, just about a pound or so to shed to get into the 15s, diets all over the place saying that, been a tough few days at work and a family illness. Another month or two at current progress should do me well.

The way my macro's are split and weights 3 times a week means I should retain the muscle I have. I'd expect my overall weight to go down but retain LBM.why are you doing that? even if you want to lose lbs muscle will burn more energy than fat so you want muscle
I have a massive calorie deficit but the way the food is proportioned is designed in sync with my body's metabolism based on my blood tests and probably my star sign etc so that I burn fat off not muscle and I am using a super high tech body measuring thing that says I have 62% muscle at the moment and I am interested to see my measurements going forward to see if I do lose fat and not muscle week on week.
oh and since my last update on Sunday I have lost another 2lbs

Although hovering around the high 13 stone/low 14 stone mark.

As it stands my weight seems to be stagnant, if not rising a touch, whilst adding LBM and cutting fat. Just seems strange to maintain my weight on such such a severe cal cut
It's a 1000 cal a day cut. It's recommended you cut between 500-1000. It's not as if I'm starving myself.I found that being set a really strict eating plan that had phases of getting more and more relaxed was very helpful as now if I have an off day I now have a fixed idea of portions and proportions.
so today for instance, I've been off with some virus and I didn't eat strictly to plan but I did have some fresh trout and veg and I know how much of each to have whereas before I honestly just ate huge amounts without realising my portion control was non existent.
I am not @Titus, and he is probably crying reading this thread but I would say that maybe it could be that you are putting your body into a situation where it is freaking out at the low calorie input so is going into some sort of starvation mode at first, after a while you will of course lose weight as you can not but lose weight on such a cut.

Ner I only keep an eye on my bf% on my scales, but I think I mentioned in my training log my belt has tightened a notch. I can notice a difference by eye.are you measuring your waist etc? sometimes the scales don't shift but your body does lose inches, I know you said you shouldn't be putting muscle on and just maintaining but with that deficit it does seem odd
Did this paper mention the lack of shitting? Reckon in down to two small ones a week, if that.Happens with some people. Probably have a day soon where you wake up and think the scales are fucked.
As for starvation mode and 'metabolic damage', I have just reviewed a review paper for some of my colleagues who are submitting it for peer review tomorrow. There's no way Ross, or the majority of people need to worry about it

That's where I'm at. Just maintaining 14 stone now. Still a bit fat imo but it's below 25 bmi so fuck it.Thats the eventual target I've aimed for myself funnily enough, where you are at now, will mostly be maintaining work after that

That's how much I lost roughly. In 6ft 3in though.Thats they way I'm looking at it, I dont mind have some fat on me, just want to have less than now and tone up a bit, if I was completely going by BMI I'd have to shed atleast 5 stone to get what they see as my 'ideal weight', telling folk that has mostly seen replies of there would be nothing left of me
Another 1.6 this week, which given the superbowl and its immensity of beer and chicken wings followed by numerous celebratory beers and chicken wings I'm far from sad about

I have however dropped a 10 kg transformer on my toe which may stop my running for a bit, worrying as I rely on the extra calorie burn
well after my twisting yesterday, got on the scales today to see I'd lost 2.2lbs since Wednesday.....no. sense. at . all.
lifted me cock upDid you put both feet on the scales?
