Amateur (if that) boxer here, been to 4 sessions and love it. Work up a great sweat and ache like f**k the next day, anyone else do this purely for fitness/keep the weight off?

Used to do some circuits at Bo's and Olympian, where you going?? Not many better exercises than general boxing fitness.

Yeah, it's the most effective exercise method for me. When I first started was around 20-21 stone, find it easy to stay around the 16-17 stone mark and feel incredibly fit (by my own standards) at same time. Reason I find it so effective is being pushed every session, once you can perform to a certain level that then becomes your standard. Still hate burpees though.

Did a bit at Lambton street when younger and done some white collar stuff as well. Superb way of keeping fit. Tend to always finish a weights session now with 5 minutes on the bag.

Wearmouth at Southwick mate, its fairly new I think but I'm going to stick at it, already feel a bit lighter even though I havnt weighed myself, just want to trim down a bit more and they do plenty bags and core work so hoping it'll have a good effect. Enjoying mixing it with playing 5 a side and squash other nights.

Where's this at exactly mate? Location, times and stuff?

I'm looking for a class at the minute - not Boxercise but specific training, biscuits, bag/pad work etc, that type of thing.

It's near the police station (go straight over roundabout heading towards Sainsburys) and it's on your left, inside the old church on the corner. Tuesday and Thursday 7pm, £3 a session.

Boxed in the army, is was more like the front crawl than anything else, we had to call it milling, a self defence technique.
