Wunderkind Mike Benson left Crewe last night, Man City activated his 35m release clause, sad times.

I just missed out the Europa League finishing 9th, I think we should get in next year with the improvements I made in the January window and I have 125m to spend in the summer, wage budget is still only 1m p/w though. If I ship out all the deadwood I won't have any players left from my first season in league one.

Had the Euro 2020 with Poland, won all three group games against Greece, England and Sweden but Lewandowski and Teodorczyk both went off injured and were out for the rest of the tournament in the second game against England, Grzegorz Krychowiak got sent off as well! Drew Romania in the knockouts so thought I would get through no bother, got beat 2-1 in extra time, standard. I made the mistake of taking over a national team where I hadn't loaded the domestic league so the national pool was/is tiny, add to that the average age in the squad was probably over 30 and Lewandowski is 32 it was only going to go one way so I resigned.

Need to buy some English players, just realised last night that most of my squad is foreign, got my eye on Joe Gomez but I can't find anyone else worth buying!
 


Alright lads, second season with sunderland and brought in a lot of players, improvement on what we had with lower wages imo. However I cannot get a formation to work and instructions etc. Any ideas?

I play a flat 4-4-1-1, posession football with hard tackling. We pick up a lot of yellows but it seems to work, only issue is finding good MR or ML's, most wingers on the game these days seem to be natural AML or AMR's.

I had a good spell last season play 4 at the back 1 DM 2CM 2 wingers and one striker but all of a sudden it turned to shit and went on a 8 game losing streak. This season I've started with a 4 2 3 1 but absolutely shocking so far

I've had a bad spell in every one of the 5 seasons so far, I don't think it is down to the tactic, just the AI trying to balance things out.
 
Decided to start a game with River Plate having read about someone being them aswell. Have a cracking team with Mammana and Balanta at the back. Got experience of Maidana,Lucho Gonzalez and Saviola aswell. Got some really good youth prospects coming through aswell.
First game of the season at home to Boca won 1-0 but ended up with 8 men and who says the game isn't realistic :)

Youri Tielemans is transfer listed by request agreed the fee hes wanting £165k a week and a £9m signing on fee ... Fuck off mate :eek::lol:

Giovanni Simeone is superb mate bought him from River 35 league goals in 37 games in his first season

A poor league season has been changed by Coppa magic! Finishing 17 points behind Juve was pretty disappointing after being within 4 points of them at one stage.

However! We finally put out Coppa Italia final voodoo to bed at the fifth attempt slaughtering Milan 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from Stambazzi! Equally pleasing seeing as we went 1-0 down. The magic didn't end there, a great run in the CL helped by that 7-0 thrashing of Bayern in the quarters. After that we had Dortmund who were dispatched 3-2 on aggregate then that set up a final against PSV, who shocked Real Madrid in the other semi. Another convincing win in the final helped by being 2 up in 11 mins after Lemar netted 20 seconds in and Lozano bagged one too. Stambazzi got his customary goal and it was wrapped up by Alessandro Rocchi. PSV got a late consolation but over the moon with a 4-1 win!

Money to spend in the summer to hunt down those f***ing black and white Juve bastards next season! Will have to be going some they got 93 points this season, but no CL title :cool:

You should be able to negotiate the wages/fee down - he is a thirty million pound player easily for starters.

On my game I signed him on a free transfer once his contract had ended - he asked for less than that as well.

Tielemans is a right little bellend.

Gets his head turned by even the slightest bit of interest, asks for numerous new contracts a season and whines on like a twat about playing time.

Wouldn't mind so much but he isn't even that special, flogged him to Man City for £20m, £13m profit and glad to be rid of him.

He'd be mainly back up anyway to Duncan and Ajer so bought Lewis Cook for £8m instead

Thinking about cashing in on Mammana for £40m and buying Sule £16m +£5m over 48 months (same age) also got Lucas on the bench how good does he get starting all the time ?

Do Crewe get many decent players through their academy on this?

I've only had him for part of my current season - he has been brilliant so far and is one of my best performers and I'm top of the league with Sunderland.

If one day he has to go - I won't be selling him to a league rival.

Aye, imagine he gets good, rarely performed for me though.

Wouldn't sell to a league rival either like, was at Galatsaray at the time.

Sule is quality, I got lucky getting him for £14m-ish when Hoffenheim we're relegated. Lucas has been good too but he shares the other centre back slot with my regen centre half Rocchi. Lucas has been particularly useful at left back this season when Bastoni has been injured. His stats at first may not be spectacular but he matures well!
