The Witcher 3

hmmm cant seem to get into this now, i like the way its set up but cant seem to get attached to the story.

Was hoping i would get hooked to it like Skyrim but cant see it happening
I'm the same. I think it might be because it's the third sequel so they don't really flesh out the characters stories. It just assumes you know a lot about them already. I'm also finding the combat really difficult. I accept its probably just me being shit at it but a lot of the early quests have a recommended leave much higher than what I'm at making it difficult to just go off and explore like I would on skyrim or fallout.

Stick at it lads it is worth it. Whenever you meet a new character there is a thing added into the inventory which gives you details about them. Can't remember how to access it off the top of my heas though.

i loved it and its the first Witcher game i've played.

Definitely worth sticking with, before you know it you'll be smoking things a few levels higher than you effortlessly

Me too although I am not very far into Fallout yet.
I got soooo bored with fallout and just bashed through the story in the end. Traded it in for Just Cause 3 which I also prefer. I wasn't a fan of Fallout 3 mind, and most Bethesda games have bored me in the last few years. Only put about 10 hours into Skyrim!

Got around to starting this.

Playing it on the PC with a 360 pad. Why do the controls feel so shit?

I've been playing Watchdogs, maybe I've got used to the say the character moves on that.....I don't know what's wrong, it just feels rank.

I did have an issue with the movement to be honest. It seemed to take the smallest touch on the joystick to start him running. It was difficult to make small, exact movements.

They added anothet movement option in the settings if you'd prefer. He turns on a sixpence.bit unrealistic though

Fallout is a good game but The Witcher 3 is game of the year. Hands down.
I bought it the other day just haven't had the time to have a good go. Will probably get into it later and learn how to use a ps4 pad as i'm normally a pc gamer.

Looks good so far like.

They'll both get game of the year, there are that many awards it means nothing.

Getting into it now. Controls still feel shit. I have no finesse in battle, just stuff my face with food and down potions then tank stuff.
The only reason allout 4 will get GOTY is hype voting, i'm a huge Fallout fan but 4 is poor compared to even New Vegas

I am enjoying it but it doesn't have the wow factor that fallout 3 had.
It's objectively better than FO3 in every way gameplay and story wise.....but I know what you mean.

Put a few hours in today. Got killed by a golem twice and turned the fucker off.

Got a shiny card so that's on the market for some muggings to buy.

Im enjoying it more now I'm used to the combat more. Still think the story telling could be improved by filling in a few of the gaps if you didn't play the previous games without having to go on the menu to get the character history. Also annoying how every female character bar ciri has her tits out and only engages in flirty double entendre rather than any decent dialogue.

I'm not that far into it and haven't played the first two. Can understand Yennifer being flirty seeing as they have a past. There was some lass mentioned that he was with when he had amnesia, haven't met her bit I assume it will be similar.

Was daft when I had to go visit a witch, she saw me and casually walked inside. I went into her house, she'd gone through a portal to some meadow with a building in it. You find her in the bath, she must have f***ing ran there and gone to a bit of effort to get that set up in the 30 seconds ahead of me she was. She comments on her giving me a nice view then gives me shit for looking....

That was f***ing dumb.
