Thinking of quitting smoking and moving onto one of these e-cig thingy's.
Anyone else use them? If so is it worth it?
Smoked 15 years. It's arnly since me son came alang that I'm actually frightened of getting the cancer now.
I don't think I'm strong enough to just quit cold turkey. These seem to be the best option as far as I can tell.

I use one and love it but hate smoking. There will be people on here who rubbish it etc, thats their opinion. Do what you want to do.
If you're going to do it, spend a decent amount of money on the thing (battery, tank and coils) and also only use premium liquids (30ml bottles, £8 a bottle) the cheaper ones are shite and work out more expensive in the long run.
Saves a hell of a lot of money though!

Also! Try as many different flavour liquids as you can so that you can develop a taste and see what you prefer (fruity, nutty, creamy, sharp, sweet, menthol etc).
I get 3 everytime I go to the shop in Shields (3 for £20 mix and match), buy one that I know I like and get 2 different ones. The other week I got a jam on toast mother fucker and its the most disgusting tasting juice I've ever had. It's like breathing in burnt toast smoke....

Nicotine is a suspected carcinogen

cheers mate

Nicotine is a suspected carcinogen

So is estrogen and testosterone mate.
I see what your saying though.
It has to be better for you though rather than them cheap turkish rich minds from the corner shop

Be quick, the regulations are heading our way.
Been on them over a year now, just a cheaper alternative to tabs or baccy for me and her though. Will never buy tabs again. Gone from what now would be £90 per week on tabs to a tenner on oils.

Regulations? What do you mean mate?

A year?
Do you not just use them to get you off tabs for a couple of months then chuck the e cig away? Just seems like another addiction to me, albeit a little less harmful.
I stopped smoking 14 years ago using patches for 4 weeks. Piece of piss and I was on 40 a day

Go down to eVapour in market square, always helpful for advice with a massive selection of juices.

Nicotine is a suspected carcinogen

One "suspected" is better than 50+ knowns.

EU laws etc, going to try and tax them like cigs
Not just tax, tanks limited to 2ml, bottles limited to 10ml etc. It's really going to limit options and possibly send people to the internet to buy illegal (and possibly inferior) products.

Or make their own...
Couldn't be arsed personally. I'm down to 3mg juice now, in about 2 months I'll be dropping down to 1.5 for 3 months then zero. It was a long term quit method for me.

Some people do, some don't. I think a lot of people are dual users and use them to cut down.

I haven't had a cigarette since May and dual used for two or three months before dropping tabs completely.

You said you wanted to eliminate your cancer risk for your kids. If you are serious you should stop altogether.

Bollocks!
No lung and pancreas I think you will find.

As others have already said, I imagine they're better for you than cigarettes so use them as a method of weaning yourself from the habit.
If you're just going to use them as an alternative to smoking then you're just transferring from one addiction to another, stopping altogether must be the goal for smokers.

Smoked for 16 years, towards the end I was on about 15 a day. Haven't had one for 4 months now cos I spent £20 on a vape thing at Tynemouth market. Don't miss fags, saving loads of money, feeling healthier, on a lower nicotine level than Regal KS and definitely using it less each week...I think I made the right choice.

Good luck
