So it's almost a year to the day since I broke my wrist pretty badly. Today I went back to the gym for the first time since and although it went canny, the wrist in question didn't quite feel right. When I was benching it just felt considerably weaker than the right although I was managing fine, and at the end of the session I was getting a burning sensation. It feels a little stiff now.

Is it simply a case of needing to rebuild strength in it? The reason I've gone back now is because I was confident that I'd fully regained that strength back to 'normal' levels. I followed all of the excercises given to me by my consultant after I had the cast removed. Should I buy a support, or just leave it as it is and be careful? I assume there'll be some on here who have similar experience.

Well it's going to be weaker so just be sensible with the progression. Invest in some wrist supports too

for the last year you'll have been leaning on your other hand/arm/wrist so even following excercises it i perfectly natural it will be weaker.

steady as she goes.

Did mine in the summer, lifting ok now, odd times get problems with it but largely ok. Did feel strange to start with but surgeon said after a few months then strength is 100% back.
