Hi, first post in this section for me. Im thinking about doing a bit of stargazing and twitching so I need a telescope (obvious I know). Anyone recommend a decent starter one that is not too expensive in case I don't take to it?. Sorry if this is the wrong place for this post.
 


Nowt personal marra but I end up fielding these questions every few months.

Do a search on 'recommend a telescope' and you should get several threads with the same or similar replies.

In short, it depends on your budget, your particular interests within astronomy (planets/deepsky, visual/photographic) and your willingness to learn the sky, difficult concepts etc.
