That makes it sound like Alvarez also had a case ongoing saying he shouldn't be left in limbo and should be freed from his contract and it's that one that's been won. I'm pretty sure Inter would be letting everyone know they'd won and were demanding their £7Mill if they had.
 
I would have been happy to sign him but if he has career threatening injury then the club was right to take their stance

Sounds like both clubs have just been allowed to step away mate. We don't have to fork out for a crock and they have been allowed to just release him from his contract without paying up...on the basis that he probably should've been coming to us so Inter weren't preparing to pay his wages.
If we'd had to pay £7m we'd have heard about it by now.

We wouldn't have heard about it now as these things apparently take some time.

I don't think our case v Inter has been settled as Inter would have said something.

I think Alaverez had a separate case allowing him to sign for a new club.

Just wish the thing was resolved. Would be nice to know the outcome before the next transfer window

Just re-read the section that mentioned their appeal and I think you're right. Their refers to Ricky's legal team not Inter.
I just meant (having misread it) that if as the father suggests it had been settled we'd have heard something. Guess we'll just have to sit and wait still.
 
I'm going to wait until there's some official statement or announcement first I reckon.
