Eh why? My sister on law lives on rochechouart and its nice there.Stay away from the moulin rouge area
its great there - just be a little more careful after dark - rue de abbessess is a great place great restaurants up there - anyway Monkey Tassle is practically a local so follows his advice! (except for the f***ing rug bit!) we stayed at a hotel right next to the monmarte cemetary - on the rue de clichy found it on booking.com and it was cheap as chip but great quality - some great places round there for breakfast tooStay away from the moulin rouge area
