Well where to start.
1 As my parents earn less than 25k a year, I can get free dinners and last year I was told to go down and apply, I was told I'd be getting a letter in the post confirming I'd be getting them. No letter showed up, went to complain in December and they aid 2'Yeah we ran out of money we really should of told you'
3 The tutors would say if your ten minutes late you're not allowed in class (which is fine, people need to be on time) but people would walk in twenty minutes late and nothing was done
4 The college is really strict with doing drugs on the campus, which is fine imo, do whatever in your spare time but not on the campus. Student in my class was caught 3 times and didn't even get a warning.
5 They didn't hire anyone for our Spreadsheet lesson till the Thursday back
6 Didn't hire anyone for our work skills lesson till the 4th week back and even then last Monay he didn't even show up
7 My mate applied end of August (He was struggling to find a course he wanted to do) they said he'd get a letter for his interview, two weeks in he still hadn't got a letter, he contacted them and they said yeah you'll get a email in two weeks time for your interview. No email yet in week 6
8 Last year English and Maths for the first 4 weeks was unbearable, no one had no idea where to go, so there were like 40 students cramped in one room, so English was cancelled until they found out where everyone was supposed to be
9 We had to take tests to see what English and Maths lesson we would be in, I did a Entry Level 3 test on Maths and passed that within 20 minutes, they told me I'd be put in Level 1 Functional skills Maths. I got there and was told to go to Entry level 3 Maths.
10 Finally they encourage us to wear our lanyards with our ID cards on them, they were saying how important it is, and you'll be checked everyday etc by the guards. Well heres the thing, if you just show the thing round your neck, you can be let in no problem, which means I could just walk on the site without having my ID card with me.

Some of it sounds like I'm nitpicking and I probably am, but some of it is a complete farce.

That's shocking. What happens if you don't want to do drugs on campus? They literally can't MAKE you take them, can they?

What the fuck is a lanyard?

I'm doing Level 2 ICT.
It's 30 hours next year in Level 3.

I have no idea. Honestly there's so many things about this college I'd like to share if people are interested, it's a complete mess sometimes

My son is doing Level 3 IT at college and had to do 30 hours last year but it had to be in an IT related position. He eventually wants to be a teacher so did his work experience in a local primary school. He enjoyed it so much he stayed on for the rest of the year as a volunteer. You could try local schools and see if they need any help. You will need to be DBS checked though but the school will sort that.

IT job in Norfolk you say?

Pick tatties with one hand whilst browsing the net on your phone with the other, result :)
 yes there's not much I can do really,

 it was hilarious back at the beginning of the year they were like
'if you are caught with any drugs on the campus you'll be suspended'
Never happened, people were using and the college didn't do anything

A lanyard is something you wear around the neck it'll have your college id in a slot at the bottom and we're required to wear them

I did do some searching on that sort of thing a few weeks ago, couldn't find anything.
I cannot wait for next week when they us if we've got a job yet

Well slight update to my college, my friend was kicked out of his course without even being told, he rang them up and when they eventually answerd they told him 'Yeah only 14 people turned up for the course so we withdrew everyone' He didn't even get a email either to say so.
Oh and today we're required to talk about different subjects, but not any old subjects but things like War on terror, depression, money problems and feminism. Now I have no problems talking about depression because both of my parents and I know people suffering from it, but I do find it strange we need to talk about it and our money problems which imo should remain private

This has just got worse, I was checking the timetable early Monday morning at about 5-6am and Mondays timetable was blank. Now the college have instructed us to follow the time table on line so I checked every other day and they had the lessons as normal, so I went back to bed.
Turns out the timetable fixed itself yesterday sometime between then and turns out I had to go in Monday after all.
I mean, I was only following instructions and all of the other dates are fine.

Did they keep your dinner warmed up?

Go to a different college. Sounds like a right shambles.

Can you not get a job in administration at the college, seems like they could use all the help they could get!
