We are not a big football club to anyone outside the North East. We are not an attractive proposition for any experienced credible manager. The main people charged with making the important decisions are on the face of it non football people apart from Congerton who apparently is working his notice. The north east does not appeal to mercenary foreign players. The media are having a field day reporting every tom dick or Harry (Redknapp) who have already distanced themselves from the job.
The club is becoming or already is a national laughing stock and its only asset is the fantastic fans who support them home and away every week
All that said i have been going for 40 years now since the 75/76 season and no matter who we get to manage us, no matter if we stay up or not, no matter how sad i feel right now i will still be going next year and the following years to come.
This club of ours is not for christmas its for LIFE
