Cricinfo saying 192-9 at Close but when you count the wickets its 10.

Actually, scratch that. The bowlers' wickets add up to 13! Cricinfo has had a mare all week.

On the game, great performance by the looks of it from Finn. Could jeopardise Wood's place in the side for Tuesday.

Looking like I'll be on nights next week, perfect for watching the Test .

What happened to them proper tours where you played about 3-4 four day games before the tour started?

Time is money on the Tours mate. Things have changed. All down to the minimum "fit."

TV and Sponsorship pays the Rent as it were.

When most of us "older farts" were growing up it was usually one winter tour of three to four months in duration.

The WAGS would come out for the back end of the tour and some players would tag a holiday onto the end of it.

Nowadays the players are on the first available flight home at the conclusion.

Pakistan A scored 192-12. Both sides agreed to spend 1 day batting, 1 day fielding. So England did actually take 12 wickets in the day, 2 fellas came back in and got out twice. One lad got 2 ducks in one innings

Gives a new meaning to the word 'bagged a pair'.

Still makes no sense at all. I'm sure they could've gone perhaps two days earlier and played Pakistan A in two 3 day games with some proper structure to them. Still likely be draws but I don't see it being good practice at all. The bowlers maybe manage two spells per game in this format and you had Joe Root retiring once he'd passed 50. That's ridiculous. These games are all about spending time in the middle but was there any England batsman who spent more than two and a half hours out there? We're notoriously slow starters on away tours so it seems like absolutely twatful planning/preparation on the ECB's part. The sub-continent is often very slow, very turgid cricket and going off our last series we could do with all the practice we can get at that sort of cricket.

Don't know how the players can be ready after these ridiculous games.

A couple of these daft games so everyone can get overs/time in the middle but then have a proper 4 day game.

England 16-1. Ali gone, Bell opened with him. Didn't realise Peter Moores was back in charge of England

Make that 18-2. Hales out cheap too.
