Its amazing how lost the US look without Dempsey and Bradley. 442 doesnt help.

It's not just that. They've got 4 players out of position and another two or three who simply aren't international quality. I'll be interested to see the subs. Simply moving Yedlin to fullback, Bedoya to the wing, and subbing Cameron for Gonzalez and anyone for Wood would help a lot. That would open a spot for a real CAM as well.
They just did the half-time highlights. Lasted about 20 seconds. Is it that bad ???

Yeah. It was pretty dreary.

Looks like several US subs. Diskerud and Cameron. Alvarado as well.

Watching Altidore pass the ball behind teammates; straight to the opposition and the way the ball just bounces off him brings back some memories...When he was scouted did no one on our staff see that ???

and the softest penalty ever just awarded for him...Nowt changes. LOL

Don't know what it looked like on TV, but it wasn't that soft from my angle. And at least he put the second one in on the penalty. Yikes, ugly.

Looked like he pushed the ball round/over the Peruvian defender and then dived. That was not a penalty.
Definitely over, and he had him beaten. It looked at live speed like he pulled him back and stuck his leg out (I have the same view as the ref saw it, but 180 degrees and higher), but Jozy went down easily. I've seen worse, but this one might have looked worse on replay and from another angle.

He owes both Yedlin and Zardes beers for that one.
True. If Yedlin was slower then that "pass" was out for a Goal Kick. And if the defender hadn't deflected the cross from Zardes, Jozy would shave got nowhere near it. Still, sometimes better to be lucky than good....and Jozy ain't good.

I've lost faith in Klinnsman. He plays everyone out of their natural position.
Yedlin at wing instead of FB
Bedoya at CM instead of wing
Zardes in the midfield instead of striker.

Can't wait to play a full strength Brazil next.
/rolls eyes/

 Sure he is....

He great against shite opposition, man. Just not good enough for England.
The touch to win the penalty was superb, how many did he win for us again? Was it 2 or 3? Either way players just can't handle him so they have to foul him. He's a defensive nightmare, Azpilicueta still sees him in his sleep.

He squandered 3 very good chances in the first half. He put in a sitter and a rebound from his own bad penalty. He won the penalty. Otherwise he lost possession a bunch of times, clogged up the spacing, and contributed very little.
