Been going up to Scotland a fair bit for games over the last few years and genuinely want them to qualify (despite my previous banter with WW on here) I have a lot of family in the Glasgow area and have always enjoyed a trip over the border. Watched most of the match tonight and it was a very subdued performance by them and they remind me of Sunderland with their ability to flatter to deceive and then shoot themselves in the foot just when it looks like something good will happen.

Still a good chance of 4 of the 5 British Isles sides making it to France which would be good and I have to admit as the son of a Corkman that I would prefer the Republic to pip the Scots if it comes down to a play off between the two. Hopefully one can get second and the other gets the play off place ahead of the Poles and all 5 get through.

All true. And each time Scotland are at home watching from afar until England get knocked out which, let's face it, is better than a Scotland victory isn't it?

Not just footballing reasons you mean? Well, can't disagree because I live in the fucker! But in terms of football, Iceland and Uruguay (as I've been rightly told recently) are much better.
