weather forecast is looking good for a full game

hales, roy, modern, morgan, stokes, buttler, billings, rashid, plunkett, wood, finn

i am predicting 350 or above to be the winning score

Good line up that, only change from that would be Willey over Plunky, think the left armer gives more variety as Finn already provides the pace.

Yeah, they'll definitely play Willey. Might be a bit light on the bowling front. If Australia get after Ali and Rashid early in their spells we might struggle. Only one way we are going to find out though.

Yes and that's what I want to see, better to find out how good the likes of Rashid are now then throwing them straight into a Champions Trophy or World Cup game ala Gary Ballance.

i think willeys batting could be handy up front if roy or hales fail or are injured.

one thing i want to see is willey bowling leg stump yorkers to smith.
 
Key is steve smith

Strauss has ordered good flat pitched so Smith will score a shit load

Good that people are looking forward to these, shows we are doing something right

I barely watched them during the Bopara years

Don't play billings then and stick wood/woakes in. Woakes, wood and plunkett can hold a bat and Willey is as good as billings.

Much more balanced team now I think, however slightly disappointed to see Billings and Willey out the side. Hopefully they are just rotating and giving everyone game time.
 
Don't think Billings is good enough to just be in as a batsman personally, glad they've taken him out of the side today.

Batting looks good, probably between Roy and Taylor as to who loses out once Root comes back.

I think it's pretty harsh, remember him playing a valuable knock supporting Bairstow to win the last game vs New Zealand. I find it quite strange how they've both been dropped.

Don't agree Ali at 7?? What a complete and utter waste he is a top order batsman at this game, he is one of our best bats in this format, to have him stuck at 7 is crazy

How is Taylor in ahead of Bairstow

And Woakes ahead of Willey?

Hopefully they prove me wrong, but this feels like a cop out, more associated with the Moores era

I just think its sending the wrong message, should of been Ali at 3, and Billings at 7, back the young talent, or if not Bairstow should of been in. I stand by that even if Taylor gets a 100. How can they watch Ali bat like that from 3 in the 20/20 then demote him to number 7! crazy
