What happens when you drink cola

Always said a lot of people are "fatter" due to litre bottles of coke they consume during the day. Lass at work paggers it and she's like a house end, plus it destroys your teeth. I personally can't stand the the stuff as it tastes like a can of sugar.

Some of it's fair enough but I hate pointless associations like #4. 'Same way heroine works' so fuck? So is bucking. So is stroking a beloved family pet. Activation of dopamine receptors in and of itself is not a bad thing purely because that's also how a particular drug works.

Similar things happen when you sniff it actually.....

Haven't you ever wondered why pure caffeine powder is so plentiful online, basically gives a similar although not ultimately as good effect when sniffed with drink. So I hear like and probably not exactly safe.

It's still something worth being aware of imo, my eyes actually water when I drink coke cause I enjoy it that much, particularly when dehydrated

It absolutely isn't. It's unhelpful and misleading, likening all of the many good things which are associated with that particular biochemical pathway to dangerous drugs.

It's exactly the sort of nonsense that leads scientifically illiterate idiots to come out with shite like 'I won't eat anything with chemicals in it.'

So much nonsense but I'll just go with the caffeine one. Once you become habituated, the diuretic properties are a non issue. Besides, I doubt regular coca-cola has that much caffeine in anyway

It absolutely is. Fact.

I think a profit driven business would without much thought produce an addictive product within the law if they knew how to.

It's absolutely nowt like but people like a scare story

I think the best measure they could use on products would be to say how many cans of cola worth of sugar is contained within. People know cola is a sugar overload, but not many know its not the worst offender...

I was astounded to find cartoned fresh (from concentrate) orange juice has more sugar than cola mil for mil!

Reward is incredibly easy to stimulate. Sugar does it, fat does it, salt does it, caffeine does it. Tenuously linking that to a class A drug is ludicrous and also simplifies the effects the class A has on the body (as far as I'm aware cola doesn't activate opioid receptors).

It's unhelpful as far as scientific literacy goes.

It's a tenuous attempt to dramatise what coke is but still is made to activate reward receptors, it's just not harmful unless it's all you consumed or something
