Queues in Liverpool to sign Cilla's book of condolences

Here's a question - what actually happens to these bloody books of condolence? Everywhere had one open when Di snuffed it, even my local f***ing Tesco, where arseholes were queuing up at the door (yes, they put the book right at the entrance, you couldn't get in for these eejits wanting to sign a book). Did they actually send these thousands and thousands of books to the Di's family/royal family?

These books, does anyone read them?where do they go?
Pah! Didn't notice this before I posted the self same question!
 
Just wait for the funeral, streets will be lined, Paul McCartney will sing a song, Jimmy Tarbuck will do a reading, reckon Gerrard will be back from L.A. for it too.
 
It is a tremendous opportunity for the scousers to mourn. No one seriously thought they wouldn't make the absolute most of this. It is an opportunity not to be missed.
