Running Thread 2015

Was going to try the Bamburgh Castle half in October but they've moved the derby (tw#ts!) so I think I'll give the Haltwhisle half a go instead.
I think thats the one where you have to walk across someones garden...

You did last year, though they were hoping to sort it out for this years run. It was no big deal though, reckon it cost me 15-20secs. Was a good run, steady uphill on way out then steady downhill after the turn. Was thinking of doing it again but prob gonna do Redcar on same day

I'm in for the most boring half marathon too.

Three days training in a row this week culminating in a 10k run of 36:40 and a garmin pb :)

Steady jog then long run Sunday to round off a good week for me.

Brilliant time that, I was hitting those times when I was 18, 19 and in the Army, I have slowed down a lot since then.
I was pleased at 42:16 for 10k and 19:17 for 5k earlier this year, here it is a bit too hot even at night for a decent run, though I can comfortably run at under 5min a kilometer.

I may have a number going for Redcar, will decide before August is out as you can transfer numbers , don't think I'm ready for a half marathon . If I'm not it will be free to a good home.

On another note - Depressing reading about all this doping shite in athletics

Random 12 mile this morning on 1hr 47m that took me from Horden to Dalton park area before heading to South Hetton then the long drag back home. Good, fairly flat route apart from the bank that leads up to Hawthorn.

Be out with the running club tomorrow doing whatever we have planned then one or two short runs before darlo 10k on sunday where if all goes well will be looking to get close to 50 minutes

If you're not sure about the half fletch try this ten mile race at the end of August. Should give you a good idea about whether you could race another three miles
