Haha Louis Tomlinson was given a squad number so he could play in a reserve game where the money would go to charity. Although many fans were against him being given a number the amount of shirts that are sold with his name out sell any other player in the club. The shirts get posted out all over the work to the like of Australia and a few have gone out to china. So he has done wonderers for the club in global reputation and in shirt sales... he also brought us about 120,000 twitter followers even though our average attendance was around the 6-7K mark

A club close to my heart. One of my first teachers was from Doncaster and for about 3 years in PE lessons the team that got first pick had to guess the home colours of DRFC.

I'm not saying that we were a bunch of thickos but it did indeed take about 3 years to guess the correct strip colours and it's stuck with me to this very day.

I had a couple of Uncles who went to work in the mines in Donny in the 50's, they used to come and wind me up that Doncaster Rovers could beat Sunderland AND Newcastle at the same time. Of course I was very young so used to bite. Bastards! But I loved them anyway :)

First can I introduce myself I am the Supporter Liaison Officer at Doncaster Rovers. I have been recommended this forum by the Sunderland SLO to post a quick message and some information regarding your visit to the Keepmoat Stadium.

Tomorrow night the Sunderland fans will be allocated our North Stand, which holds around 3300 fans. If you travel down without a ticket then you can purchase them from our Soccer Centre which is located to the right hand side of the away end. Myself and the stewards will be able to direct you if you need help.

Once you have arrived at the Keepmoat there will be food and drink available in the ground. If you would like a drink and pie before you enter the ground, then the away fans are welcome in the Belle Vue Bar (named after our former ground) which is located at the West Stand. We have a fantastic offer available of a pie & a pint for just £5!

Last season Doncaster Rovers released a document known as our 'Away fans guide' that was produced by the club with information regarding the Keepmoat and the surrounding areas. If you have time please see the clubs official website to find the document it is well worth a read. Please note that some of the food and drink prices in this document are out of date, apologies for this I am still awaiting the club to update the document. I would post a link to the guide on this post but unfortunately it will not allow me to, so if anyone can help me with this please let me know.

Just a quick traffic update for tomorrow night. There are major road works taking place in and around Doncaster and the moment, this is causing delays on the A1 around Doncaster. Also tomorrow night there will be road works taking place on Junction 3 of the M18 that leads to the Keepmoat Stadium, so please allow time for these delays when travelling.

Nice post, mate, although I'm not convinced that 5 quid for a pie and a pint is a fantastic offer.

Years back, we used to stop in Doncaster on the way back from aways and always a cracking lot.

Except the Leeds locals who were a bunch of fuckin' idiots.

I thoroughly concur, great information and I think we should have someone in a similar position at our club. We need great PR and this is the way forward. Well done Dean and Donnie, let's hope it's a good game
