Not if we lost!
I asked about railcards and they said you can't have two discounts on the go at the same time. We have a Friends and Family railcard, so would be able to use that (I believe). People travelling on their own without a railcard would get a 10% discount, groups of three or more would get a 25% discount. If you can't go to the arranged date you would not be able to get a refund as they would then need to be able to sell those tickets to someone else. I can completely see their point on this. It's a step in the right direction like. But our branch had a few questions about it that were unclear in the initial communication like - does it also apply for people with railcards, what happens if the game is moved to a date you can't get to - can you just get your money back? Stuff like that.
Good to see they're actually trying to help us out though as a lot of train companies just don't want to know about footy fans (probably thanks to our fore-fathers smashing their trains up in the 80s) and would rather not have them onboard.
Definitely happening mate. Virgin were really positive as were BTP. I went along thinking it was going to be all flannel, with lots of restrictions and not something we would use, but they genuinely want to make a good go of this and I think it would definitely encourage people to make more use of the trains. Is that actually happening? I'll be taking the train to aways more often if that is the case...
Don't think so mate. I asked specifically about our Friends and Family railcard and he said we couldn't get the 25% in addition to our 1/3 off.I heard that discount is additional to any already in place, eg Senior Citizens' railcard. I hope that's true.
Yes, it was Easter Monday. Was a Monday though wasn't it?

BTP were also at the meeting and they guy said it was his intention that in the future there would be no need for dry trains. It makes sense that if most people have put their details into the Virgin website, they'd need to curb their behaviour, although they stressed that the police would not have access to any information on the Virgin website.
As long as it is not Sunday I don't care since it's the day of my wedding.
Monday night football it will be thenI booked a hotel the other day because I was getting a bit impatient, luckily it has free cancellation. Can easily do a Saturday midday or a Sunday 4pm KO no bother.
Think the 2006 "Arca ends She-ra's career" one was a 3pm KO
Really? Shambolic that like.I still don't understand moving Spurs to 1,30 on great north run day.
Really? Shambolic that like.
Wasn't there a similar situation in the past couple of years?
There is some fri games this year as a trial run, there's one the 2nd week of the season. Could be wrong but I think it's Man Utd v villa.Actually no I've just checked and it's from 2016-17 season
That rings a bell actually. There is some fri games this year as a trial run, there's one the 2nd week of the season. Could be wrong but I think it's Man Utd v villa.
That's because of the EDL march in Birmingham on the Saturday, United are in Europe on the Tuesday so can't play Saturday. There is some fri games this year as a trial run, there's one the 2nd week of the season. Could be wrong but I think it's Man Utd v villa.
