It's a disgrace we have a player like John Hastings at our disposal but he hasnt had a bat tonight.

Imo (and i said this start of the season) the powers that be do not rate his batting.

Well just got back and had time to reflect. Was disappointed with our batting as some just didn't show any sort of intent but I guess we've won the game convincingly so that's that. We started very fast then it suddenly fell flat which I find odd in T20, surely a pitch doesn't die that quickly?

Bowling and fielding tonight was top class. Hastings, Arshad and Jennings top class. Hastings I think without looking ended up with 3 wickets for 10 runs, just stupidly class. Catch by Pringle was very good.

Pringle........... He's going to be someone who is going to divide opinion and I'm not yet convinced with his T20 form but what I saw the other day vs Yorkshire with the bat, there is something about him, it was a top class innings.

We're somehow in 4th place and everything to play for.

We must find a place for Hastings further up in the order, we need to keep pressure on the scoreboard around overs 10-14 and I think Hastings could offer something different.

Overall a good win but batting I still believe could be better.

you never answered my question

critical about in the main 2 players and im not the worse here im sure I seen a few from you tonight I wouldn't make up a bet I have placed

I paid £400 for a 5 year membership to be critical :), some people I doubt have parted with £15 this season. I'm down at the ground using all my annual leave on most occasions, even daft enough to be going to Northampton in a few weeks time for a potentially nothing T20 & a Pro 50 game the following day. We're all critical from time to time, myself included because I care a lot for the club but I find myself picking you out on a regular basis for ridiculous criticism and I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one who shares this opinion.

T20 is generally shit if you're a Durham fan. My main priorities are the Pro 50 (very excited for the start of this competition) and of course the LVCC where I believe we're having a very good season. Lords last season was an unforgettable day, I'd love to experience that again

anyone mentioned his bowling yet that game

same could be said for every bowler (assuming you mean the Yorkshire game). Hastings went for about 120 in the first innings for example..............

Roll on CC cricket when I can bring me own beer in.

.

smuggle it in :)

You go to more games so gives you more right to be critical I don't think he scores enough or gets wickets in 20/20 what do you think

Give it a rest man, you try hard spenk. We've won well tonight but we're still not in the Top 4. Plenty work to do.

Just like in the First Class game our bowling is excellent but the batting needs plenty of work.
we are in the top four above the stars of yorkshire and notts

Just one question, why aren't Borthwick, Jennings and Hastings used higher up the order ?
Don't know.

I don't understand how you would order batsmen in T20 the way I do in the long form, what I do know is that it's different.

I also know that Durham don't have enough T20 player and have to fill gaps with players (batsmen in particular) who aren't suited to the form - I'd say Jennings is one of those and if he's in the team on merit it's down to his very useful bowling.

Pringle isn't suited to the role they have him earmarked for, similar to what Breese did, a few economical overs and a pinch hitter type batsman. He looks a proper 4 day player to me, who seems at his best playing patiently, and picking off the bad balls.

I'd think of giving someone else a go in that role in 20/20, which is nothing against Pringle, I just think he looks a better player in the 4 day form

Hastings absolutely needs to bat in the top 5, as someone said earlier I don't see why he couldn't get ago at 3 or 4 sometimes, he just seems wasted.

I am not as surprised as some that we are 4th, I think must have mire bowling options than any other side in hte country, must only be a couple of players who don't have a chance of bowling in the innings. Our batting follows a similar line, start well and then slow down immediately.

We have a chance though but need to win on Sky on Sunday

Jennings is in as a bowler, Rocky said at the start of the season that him on Colly were doing similar bowling roles. I agree with his position in the team

The ordering needs looking at though, McLeod is really struggling at 3 and Hastings totally wasted. Not sure about Muchall at 5, its too similar with him Colly and Pringle in a row.
