Wish I was having fish and chips mate. The chippy round here isn't up to much though and I can't be arsed to hop in the car for some bait. Got corned beef sarnies instead. :(

I did enjoy your review earlier in the thread. Top work!

Reet today it was the turn of Humbledon Fisheries on Ettric Grove. Now this used to be my favourite fish shop for a while when it first opened but it went downhill and I haven't been for a long time now. I'd heard it might have picked up a bit so I gave it a try.

Well I am so glad I did, this was top quality fish and chips. £5.20 for a fish lot, so on the cheaper side. All fish fried to order, she asked if I wanted batter so I got it. Chips were absolutely lovely, nice tasty fish and the batter was spot on. Not greasy or owt but still really really tasty. This is vying for the best fish and chips so far, I'll have to have a bit think on about that. I would highly recommend giving this a try.
