Looks like the Ibis in Dusseldorf train station is the party hotel of choice as well

Its a canny hotel. Stayed there a couple of years ago. Its surprisingly quiet in the rooms when you consider the amount of noise generated by the trams, trains and people. The bar will also stay open til the last man drops.

There's also loads of food outlets in the station and across the road.

As if going to watch Sunderland, Dusseldorf/Bochum/Duisburg, a wine festival and the longest bar in the world isn't enough, there's horse racing on at Dusseldorf race course on the Sunday.

Be careful when booking. It is S17 and S19 which are the away standing blocks. S is for South which the ticket office seem to have interpreted as section.
Wonder why they don't give us the sections together. Should we all go for one section? 17?

S18 and S19 look to be combined and next to S17.

Aye, just noticed there are 3 separate 17 & 19's. Cheers for the clarity on the official website there Sunderland!

Thought that looked the most likely given all the others were separated by a section 18.

According to this article the away fans are normally North-East corner so is it different for this game if we're in the south stand?

The Nordkurve looks to be the home end so I would say that article is either wrong or out of date.

Doesn't give much info, tickets to be collected over there?

I went to Hannover v Schalke in 2011 had to collect tickets from the stadium by the Nordkuve as they didn't send tickets across to the UK. Dunno if it's changed now

Also there's a huge supporters bar just by the collection point called Nordkurve and had a signed Sunderland shirt hanging up on the wall from our pre season against them in Hamelin the same year.
