Good Beginner Tutorial Photography sites or Books

I'm just starting out, I've always just used compact "point n click" cameras. i got myself the Panasonic G6 (mirrorless) so not exactly a DSLR, but the options and modes are a bit daunting . I'm happy to just use the "intelligent" mode for now, but I'd to learn a little bit more, so I can feel confident to use a full DSLR in the future.

Any recommendations for online beginner courses, books or tips please?

As ICBYD states there's info on here and take a look at the Talk Photography website. Some good tutorials on there.
 
Not a lot apart from work work work at the moment. You going out anywhere over the weekend ??
Last time I was out was with you in stormy scotland.
