That was my thinking as well. He might have told them he wanted to pick who he liked...including KP.

Last we heard he was in talks, now we hear he won't be getting it. Perhaps he wanted too much control of team selection and tactics......

Not at all, he is inexperienced coach, Bayliss is the better coach and his record proves it

Its an absolutely fantastic appointment, his record in one day cricket is superb

Australia had him lined up, he replaced Lehman for a 20/20 series last year for Australia

If this was a yes man appointment they would of appointed Gillespie
