shelli gordon currently leading the hardmoors 160 (that's miles) by some distance .
all runners have trackers so you can follow it all on the hardmoors website.
shelli has approx 45 miles to go and is on for a course PB (32 hours?).
she is nails. no pics.
shes still doing well but slowing a bit - awesome runner mind - did her first ultra at 11

That is hardcore running that like, mental.
Soft shite me struggling to run as i think i have pulled a muscle or trapped a nerve in shoulder blade. Weird side effects.

I managed a piddely 20mile this morning after looking at some of them links for the ultra runs, still happy as it's a pb for distance for me by a good mile and a half, happy days now to relax and watch the relagation battle unfold

11km in 1h7m30s tonight. Didn't push it at all, felt fine all the way around so fingers crossed I'm over the injury and fit for Edinburgh. I think maybe another 5k km run on Thursday with some more swimming should do the trick.

Slow steady 40min run this mornin to blow away yesterday's binge drink , goin back to basics for a bit and hope don't lose out too much but thinking longer term benefits rather than just blow up again over the summer

Can anyone who did last year's Pieces of 8 advise if its do-able in road shoes? Just noticed my old trail shoes have a split down the side of the left one & don't want to pay out to replace them for just 1 event a year.

I used to run 4 or 5 times a week regular. I went through a pretty rough time of it last year personally and started smoking again with a vengeance, 20+ a day, running went out the window. My morning routine became get up make a coffee and sit and smoke a couple of fags while I drank it and dwelled. I decided I need to get out my rut this week so I knocked the fags at the weekend, last one Sunday. Then I've dragged myself up the past 3 mornings and done a steady 3 mile before work. Appreciate it's not much, but it's a start...;)

That's not bad as a starting point. May last year I hadn't ran in years but by starting low & building up steadily I finished the Great North 10k in June knocking 7 mins off my course best time.

[Edit] Great North 10k was mid-July
