Thanks for Alvarez! (from an Inter fan)

Well as we used to say in good ole Latin times: verba volant, scripta manent (i.e. words fly, written things stay)!
It would seem however that Sunderland wanted to buy the player and that the one year loan was simply a "delay/safety measure" to make sure the deal wouldn't turn out to be pointless for both Sunderland and Ricky in case of relegation.
Untrue from what I have read over the last 9 months since the loan signing.

Read where? Heard from whom?

Again, is there any link pointing at statements done by members of the board where they *clearly* mention the absence of the aforementioned clause or the presence of other ones?

Since our director of football said "the only condition for the deal to become permanent is Sunderland avoiding relegation",I was wondering whether anyone from Sunderland said something,or there is just pure newspaper speculation.

aye the Italians are known for their honesty an integrity... just look at Silvio Berlusconi ;)

You have to go back to January statements and last Summers statements it was clearly disputed in the paper right after Ricky signed. Both sides have been arguing about this matter. I am sure there will be more to follow and I am very confident Inter will get there player back.

Still waiting for a link to this official Inter statement regarding Alvarez...

I'd rather 'trust' the word of an English newspaper than that of Italian official.
Huh,who doesn't trust The Sun and the likes.

A couple of remakrs:
- please do not be angry at us! it's been a shite season and the money from the Ricky deal might be the tiniest blip of an enjoyment we might have seen all year
- 11mlnE for Alvarez ain't too bad. Think that you're black and white (ugly colors btw) neighbours have spend a 25mlnE combined for Martins,Emre and Santon! They're still coming up ahead in the "let's see who spends the most for the worst Inter Milan players!" NE England regional derby!

Exactly, I rather trust the Sun newspaper than an Italian official, that's because Italy is the most institutionally corrupt county in Europe, if not the world. Anyway we weren't quoting the Sun, we were quoting from the Northern Echo.

Ricky will not be a Sunderland player more bad news for Inter I am afraid.

I've been told from a good source that Ricky is devastated at having to return to the wilderness that is Milan. He even offered to pay his own wages to stay with us rather than go back to that tin pot club that can only dream of our credibility and tradition.
These two supposedly Italian friends smell a bit like Beady and SOS to me.

thats dated from 15/02/2015 so at that point he could have played the requisite number of games to trigger the buy clause, as we know he didn't so its ciao ricky
