He's not the ideal candidate, and I don't mean offer him the job for 5 games, but wouldn't it be wise to get in contact with him and offer him the job in advance? Basically tell him that he's got the job here if West Ham don't offer him a new contract. This would mean we've secured a decent manager for either the championship or the premier league. He can either do his best to get us promoted or steady the ship next season. I think it's fair to say that he's one of the best managers at doing both of these things.

I would hope the club are planning something, and this would make a lot of sense. Thoughts?

We at least want to watch some attractive football

Don't want f***ing big sam

One of the highest paid managers in not only the premier league but the world...
ABout the 15th but two thirds of them are in the pl anyway so its more an indication of the silly money available here. ...

That would something new for Short and Byrne, they could plan a hen do!

Unbelievable really. It's Sam Allardyce. I mean, aye, he can level the ship but the money he is on at West Ham is criminal.
The pl and its tv deals to blame...cant fault him for getting paid as he will keep you in there. .

Interesting to see people saying he wouldn't work with Congerton, as he's working 'with' another coach at West Ham isn't he?

I doubt we could offer him the wages, or the promises he'd want to be honest. And I'd also like to look at someone younger, fresher. Perhaps the Lambert thing would be a real positive.

We could get Mourihno along with Messi, Ronaldo, Bale and the pick of other top players in Europe to get a 'super team' next season yet most here wouldn't be surprised if we ended up in another relegation battle if we do stay up! ;)
