I really love that Penshaw 10k course ran it for the last two Sundays and plan another go at it this weekend although maybe adding on a few km by crossing over the river for a bit. How many are you expecting to compete this year. I finished 35th last year. Think that will be my highest finish in anything...ever

We had 130 runners last year despite only being open for entries for just 9 weeks......We have a limit of 300 this year and would be nice to get there or there abouts, 70 in already with 6 weeks to go and loads entered late on last year so could go close :)

How many ran the half last year ?

Thanks, I've entered the half. How much time do you reckon needs adding to your pb for this race? 5 mins, 10 ?

My PB is 1hr 25 mins, would not expect to do this in under 1hrs 45, its an absolute beast......Steve Rankin won it in 1hrs 33 mins last year and he has a mile PB of 4 mins 28 and went 34 mins for a road 10k last season. Only thing I would expect on this course is PAIN!!

Cheers, Looking forward to it . . . in a fashion :D

My flat pb is 1:39:50 and last year I did Penshaw in 2:02, the guy who came third had a similar gap between his flat pb and Penshaw.

Hoping to break 2 hrs this year.

Washington looks good, just need to work out other races and potential marathon training

We have also organised a recce for 10th May at 9am for Penshaw 10k course.......If anyone is wanting to recce the HM course happy to recce that too, just let me know

I'll be too hungover after Everton hopefully. After today I'm half tempted to ask if I can upgrade my 10k to a Hm entry for June! This would be a very bad idea though!
