Zero gameplay shown? With Dice's track record they are probably hiding something, this "In engine" footage thing is bullshit.

Which is why I think something is being hidden.

Battefield 3, 4 and Hardline were all broken at launch, Hardline not as much.

Plus Battlefront shouldn't be Battlefield: Star Wars which with that trailer it gave a huge Battlefield vibe from it.
 
The game is basically a re-skinned Battlefield, the game engine's the exact same so it'll play the exact same but it has its own twist to fit with the theme.

Although it's not official yet but the accidental leaked release date for is November 17th. There will be 5 expansions with a premium pass like with all other DICE games, but the first one is free to celebrate the movie release which is the Battle of Jakku - It's released on Dec 8th but if you pre-order Battlefront you get it 1 week earlier.

The idea of killstreaks in a Battlefield game doesn't interest me quite frankly, looks cool though.

It won't be the same as battlefield. It's got third and first person, light saber battles and space battles.
