If this were a sky sports article I'd say something really profound like "there are dark clouds looming over the stadium of light..." but its not so I won't :)

Considering I go here every other week and have had many a good time here (yes, yes, some grim ones too), I've never really been happy with any picture I took of it and have always struggled to get a viewpoint I was particularly happy with.

So I tried this view from the viaduct going over the Riverside Park on the south of the river. I knew that a low setting sun would cast a lovely warm glow over the West Stand so got set up and just had to wait and hope that the cloud shifted, which thankfully it did.
