just crack on, wear a thicker top/hoodie etc. Admittedly this isn't giving me any pain like but my missus thinks i'm killing myself or summit. From 160kg.
 


Nee good them man, especially for low bar squatting.

Lad I train with used to use one (high bar). Switched to low bar and wasn't really used to finding a place for the bar to sink in to. Bar rolled off his back at the top of a squat and bent a Texas power bar (not f***ing cheap).

Not really the fault of the pussy pad like but ya kna
 
If I was going to rest the bar on the base of my neck I'd want some padding too :lol:

I don't do high bar, bodybuilding style squats though.

Anybody fancy a squat/bench session on monday/tuesday in Sunderland? Up from Friday-Tuesday but will be training down here on friday.
 
Is the bruising actually preventing you from squatting? I had similar last week, 160kg shot off my back like a rocket when I came back up and it dragged my arms back before rolling all the way down my back. Loads of bruising and horrible purple marks on my lats. All superficial though and didn't actually stop me doing anything.

If it's just bruising you shouldn't have time off because of it.
Had a few cuts in with the bruising, something wrong with left shoulder due to it, needing an op by the looks as causing more and more problems, with it been told to rest now
 
Had a decent shoulder session last night but really struggling with mobility in my shoulders any advice for stretches to loosen them off.

Usually train mornings but whenever on Monday like. Would need to be morning on Tuesday anarl as I need to catch the train not long after 12

Where you training mate? I could tag along if its an open invite?
