Thanks mate. Starting to make a BIT of a name for myself in the field so hopefully it goes upwards from here, even as just a hobby!

Here are a few others I've touched up a bit today from the final day. Going to miss this place. (apologies for the brutal Facebook/Tumblr compression)

Nice one mate. Have to be honest it's not really my thing but that's because I'm not much of a clubber.....Some absolute corkers there though!

Bit of advice reqd here. Ill be going to the Blackheath Festival this summer (Manic Street Preachers. Madness, Elbow etc). Ive been to a few of these sort of things before and nivver took a blind bit of notice of "camera persons".
What sort of cameras are allowed in? IE non phone cameras? It says on their site: "unauthorised professional film or video equipment" isnt allowed. Ive a Sony Nex 5 and a couple of lens's would I be OK?

If you're wanting to take anything that has interchangeable lenses then you're going to need to apply for a press pass. You might be able to take one in anyway depending on what they're like on security, but it's always best to have that peace of mind beforehand.

100% this.

There are a few bands who are relaxed about taking photos with phones or point and shoot cameras but most will not allow "professional cameras". If you do want to take pics with a professional camera try e-mailing the band`s website or find out who their management or PR company is and try them. You never know it just might work. Once you get one or two under your belt and a bit of a track record you`ll be surprised how many say yes. Just try it. At worst you`ll be ignored but one or two will say yes.

By the way, the photos are the start of this thread are bloody excellent.
