How much of the hundreds of billions of pounds from North Sea oil revenues and the billions from the biggest smash and grab raid on the country's assets in history did the Tories invest in the future?

How come they left us with slums for schools and hospitals?

I got knocked over twice in the 80's both times by a car. I learned to drive in the the mid-90's and was bucking lasses and that. Here we are in 2015 and i've just received another speeding fine in the post.

Weird how the economy was mint in 1997 yet our schools and hospitals were such an utter disgrace. What kind of twat would have control of all that money yet over-see such shite standards?

Have a read. There was a massive recession in the 90s , it was gotten out of when new labour inherited the economy

Aye but and he has a point.

You said, I think that labour came to power with the best God damn economy known to man (well, maybe not those words).

So, in say April 1996 we had this great basis to spend money but the Tory governement who had worked hard to gain this chose not to invest in say our schools. Then boom may 1997 we spend and improve our schools, wonder what changed.

I know this happened as in the space of one month we went from not being able to fix schools unless some fucker was going to die to whoop whoop, we can even fix a tap, now
