Pantiilimon or Mignolet

Pantilimon. I've always said that Simon Mignolet is the most overrated player i've ever seen for this club. I remember about a year or so ago people on here were saying better than De Gea.

Pantilimon, he looks a very solid keeper you can trust whereas Mignolet, whilst he has better shot stopping, is too inconsistent and too weak at other parts of keeping.

Pantillimon is become way overrated on the back of steady consistent performances. Performances which you'd expect anyone to make at the level were at. Even the second choices are very good, just look at Myhill coming in for WBA at City the other week.

Can't really remember him being a match winner for us whereas Mignolet is a match winner. We will learn a lot more about Pantillimon now in the business end of the season.

Pants is better than Mignolet no question,Mignolet played in a better Sunderland side than Pants (slightly i know),you just know Mignolet has always got a howler ready to come out, don't think Pants has done a great deal wrong bearing in mind the defence in front of him.

get fucked marra. name or show one of these worldies?

he was good at making routine stops look good for the camera

He is one of the best keepers from close range/one on one in the country. First saves that comes to mind are in the FA cup vs Everton at the back post and also Papiss Cisse in the 3-0 win under PDC. He also made a number of them away at Spurs in his final game. For liverpool just go back to his first game of the season. Schneiderlin close range and he tips it onto the bar. Proper top level saves.

wow, only the SMB, I get death threats (no, not really) for seeing Mignolet's problem areas while he is here, Liverpool pay big money which MUST mean I was wrong, now an Arsenal reject appears and plays out of his skin, becomes a keeping god in the eyes of the SMB until he makes a couple of mistakes and suddenly we're crashing like our valium has been stolen. Mignolet is not world class and never was, he was and is a very good keeper - an excellent shot stopper but with some issues on positioning and distribution. Costel is also a very good keeper - a very good shot stopper (not as good as Mig), but one who inspires more confidence on positioning and distribution.

Happy with what we have given our other problems, and forming keepers into a ranking? nah, we've better things to concern ourselves with.
fuck off you dull bastard its a discussion

You're saying anything there mate. Mignolets positioning is why he's so good one on one and shot stopping, something which you achknowldge to be excellent. Also how you can say Pantillimon inspires confidence with his distribution is beyond me, his kicking is awful.

Show me mate I don't believe you. Let my special eyes make the decision

krul is not a top keeper. been piss poor for ages now. even my mag mates say he has been shite this season

Looked like he had the potential to be a really good keeper a few years back but he's regressed in the last couple of seasons. Still love Borini just laughing at Krul when he tried to put him off before his penalty against them last season.

Liverpool fans & ex players, week after week in the press vilified him so lets get real he is not that good

He's actually been really good since they went to 3-4-3, he's much better than either of our current keepers.

Just go from 4.15 mate.
Totally forgot about that one, top class goalkeeping.

Migs is a better shot stopper IMO, but he is also way less confident. I always hated how he could never command his box when he was with us. Pants on the other hand is great at controlling the box and is very steady when collecting crosses.

If it weren't for his horrendous distribution I'd call Pants one of the best keepers we've had in a while, and we have had a good record with keepers recently
