Oh respected dieters.

I'm sure many of you have office lives too, so how do you go about arranging a diet / lifestyle that avoids a fat arse?

I'm pretty fit, gym every morning, cycle to work, eat alright but given I sit at a desk all day I constantly have a bit of a fat arse.

How can I get around this? Am I eating wrong things at the wrong time?

I'll have my breakfast at home, if I miss it then I'll have a porridge from McDonalds and for lunch I'll have a weight watchers meal. For snacks I'll have either an apple or protein shake.

I'll usually go for a walk at lunch to avoid people eating junk food around me, if I start feeling hungry then water or black coffee will fill the void till I'm back home.

If you're going to the gym every morning, cycling (a reasonable distance?) then you are clearly not eating correctly if you have excess fat, or not doing enough work in the gym.

It's simple stuff tbh, if you have excess weight you don't want either work harder / eat better

Try to take in easily snackable foods like cashew nuts which I can pouch whilst at my desk.

I realise I'm trying to gain weight but it all boils down to the same thing: preparation.

Was going to say he must have a poor diet if he can't shift his booty while being that active.

There's nothing you can do to target specific areas of fat. If you're carrying excess fat which you are not happy about, then you'll have to look at your diet. It's not as alright as you think it is. Start logging it with myfitnessapp or something similar, and miss nothing out. You'll soon see how many calories you're accumulating over the course of a day.

This, make things the night before, pack early morning

I usually have poached eggs / omlette in the morning before work, but sometimes i make overnight oats the night before

and eat them when i get in at 9.

I will then have a snack at 11am - usually mixed nuts or even just a can of tuna

1.30 i'll have my second main meal of the day - chicken, rice & avocado or just a salmon/tuna/chicken sandwich with wholemeal buns and quark

I'll have another snack around 4.30ish - overnight oats often if i have eggs in the morning or sometimes 3 oat cakes with quark and fresh mackerel

There are loads of things you can snack on and if you are focussed you shouldn't get distracted by your colleagues eating shite like crisps, biscuits, donuts etc everyday.
