That said, he's been ordinary in this World Cup, it's come too soon after his knee operation. Infuriating when you consider others have missed out.

And there is an article on the BBC today highlighting why his batting is fucked, he is having nightmares since the incident at Old Trafford
 


donald was excellent. i'd love us to get him back or shane bond who has done a fantastic job with the kiwi quicks.
 
Its a similar situation to the england football team. We have all the money, hype and stardom but the fact is - there are far more dour countries with rubbish domestic leagues that would play us off the park.

I agree with some elements of the OP post, there are players in the Zimbabwe and even maybe the Bangladesh teams who are better than what we have :eek:

If you picked the best XI out of the four associate nations + Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, it would be a better team than ours.
