Just got a load of chicken from there. Absolutely rank tbh.

Expensive but back to the farm shop for this lad

What was wrong with it?

My freezer is running low and I was going to place an order soon.

I've had around 5 orders from them. The chicken does have a funny smell but there was a leaflet explaining it was the gas or summat. Anyway I've eaten loads and never had the trotskis once...

The amount of water that comes off if when cooking, texture isn't great either

Never had any bother like that before

What farm shop do you use? Might have a look there out of curiosity.

Knitsley mill.

Fried off a kilo of it before and it neigh on boiled in its own water.
I thought they stated on the site that no water is added to the meat, there's probably all kinds they can do to promote water retention when the bird is alive like

wouldn't be surprised if they can get round that by adding sometime of saline solution or summit, and technically not classing it as water.

As I say, I fried off a kilo last night in a casserole pan and the water semi submerged the chicken chunks, which boiled it more than fried it, went a minging grey colour.

Its £5 a kilo from musclefood and £8 a kilo from the farm shop IIRC but I'm gonna just bite the bullet and pay the extra. Got a load of this left, including an unopened 2.5kg bag. Just gonna make pulled chicken with it and have it for lunches in a bun, good for nowt else.

If it's good quality chicken £8 a kilo sounds excellent, the protein content will be higher per kilo as well so probably a false economy buying the cheaper stuff anyway.

yer I can't be sure its £8 a kilo but its around about that.

Does anyone around Durham want the rest of this chicken I have? Probably about 5kg+

Just had some for lunch with pittas and was gipping towards the end. Going in the bin if no one wants it.

edit: just rang knitsley - £9.40 a kilo

Canny pricey like, what do I want some absolutely disgusting chicken breast, erm no im okay thanks.

Ready meals look decent. Like how they don't have to be frozen or refrigerated. I'd probably get some if I was still lifting.

What's their steaks like? Get 10kg of chicken for £40 off my mate but they have to order steaks in when people ask because there's little demand in Acton apparently . Bit of a fart on.
