Digressing slightly, but one day people will look back at the conduct of Israel, in particular to the outrageous cruelty being meted outed to Palestinians and think "How on earth did the world let them get away with it?"

The leaders of Iran have on at least one occasion threatened to unilaterally remove the Israeli state from the face of the Earth. Find me one quote where an Israeli leader threatens do the same to Iran ( clue this is not the same as taking military action to stop Iran getting a nuclear device).

You do know that every single reference to this supposed quote from Iran goes back to the same mistranslation where arm a dinner jacket spoke about ridding the world of "Zionism". Big difference and one that many people would agree with.
No mention at all of wiping Israel of the map......of course only one country has literally been wiped off the map since 1945. I'll give you a clue - it's not Israel, it's the one currently being liquidated beneath their proverbial jackboot.

Saying that a state should not exist is not the same as saying it's population should be exterminated, which of course would be abhorrent.
Now if you consider that the state of Israel was basically imposed on the region by outside military force only 65 years ago, it's not necessarily such a lunatic view for some of its neighbours to question the legitimacy of that state.
It's not a view I agree with, most of the nation's on earth were created with outside force in one way or another, just a lot longer ago, and you also have to deal with the world as is.
But it doesn't follow that locals who question Israel's 'right to exist' are therefore genocidal maniacs bent on repeating the Holocaust (though sadly many of them are just that).

Yes, because a secular democracy makes it more likely a nation will not use nukes. Are you aware which countries have set off the most nukes, whether it be for live or test firing? Did democracy give you the choice before it smashed Nagasaki and Hiroshima? So back to democracy, what part of that do you think will safeguard us, citizens of the world, against nuclear attack?
You really ought to read the words of the prominent members of their society, otherwise known as Rabbi, who advocate not only the slaughter of innocent boys and girls across the wall but they would also enjoy the slaughter of Gentiles if they were not there to serve a purpose.
