For all we know it could be made up bollocks.

If he is found guilty and we still sing songs in support of him then those singing will be massively in the wrong

as would those have had sang prior to a jury convicting him. If someone has been convicted of a crime, they are guilty from the moment the crime occurred, not from when the court decided that he was.

Total neutrality should be applied at this stage.

Must be class to not be charged in this country yet not supported

It's class to live in a country that has a judicial system that will prove right from wrong.

It would be class if people could just sit quiet for 2 weeks and let people do their jobs to prove an accused man innocent or guilty without idiots having to choose sides because they support a football team.

He won't be tho, and playing devils advocate I wdnt be too ashamed about singing for one of our own before hes even been charged.

There is absolutely no way of knowing that. I'm sure there were many who believed the yewtree accusations to be false and that the people involved wouldn't be found guilty.

I absolutely hope that isn't the case, I hope he's innocent, but I won't say anything in support of him until I know for sure.

So sunderland fans are idiots for singing for an unconvicted and un charged player who will have likely appreciated their support? lovely point of view

True, however anyone with a base of knowledge can pretty much see itll all work out for the best. I really don't see any issue with singing theres only one adam johnson

So long as the chanting was tasteful, then there is nothing wrong with showing support. That being said, I think its naive to show support for someone accused of crimes that he has been whilst not knowing the facts.

I think that it's for his family and friends to support him now, I don't know him personally and have no idea what's gone on.

I think most have forgotten he has been suspended ffs
This is the right thing to do. To protect the player and club from adverse publicity. You need to wind your neck in. Until a jury passes a guilty verdict on the lad he is NOT guilty. Well done to the fans who showed their support tonight.

Why wouldn't we support him. He is our player. A Sunderland fan. He isn't guilty of anything yet. Until and if he is found guilty then we will and should support him.

Why should we support him? We don't even know him other than as a player and this is not the same as supporting him on the pitch.

Don't take this the wrong way I hope it's all rubbish but I think unless your his friend or family it's better to stay out of it all together and let the process take it's course.
