Heard that Seaham Park have signed an overseas pro that has played 13 games in the IPL, left arm spinner and a good batsman.

Washington have posted that their overseas player has received his work permit. Young lad called Trent Mais. Other than the name I don't know anything about him. Any body got any more info?

Aren't you associated with WCC?!

Apparently a very good player - will be a tough league to get out of next year that DCL2.

Looks like Burnopfield will run away with it but then it's a scrap between Seaham Park, Marsden, Whiteleas who have all strengthened. Ryhope apparently have some big South African quick in as pro as well. If the Park have retained all players from last year, and have added this pro as well as a certain batsman from Hylton, then they have to be favourites for second place (as well as being skint).

Not so much these days with work and all. Hence I don't have the inside info

Daniel Woolston has signed for Whitburn from Washington

And it looks like Jason Jones has signed for Washington from Boldon CA according to twitter

I'm assuming I know his Uncle who used to be a partner at PWC.

Now also I was on the metro coming back from the SAFC v QPR game and a bloke told me that either this lad or the one who went to play in goal for NUFC (might be the same lad) is returning to cricket (presumably Durham CCC) and jacking in the football. No idea if its true or not.

Its his brother who plays football, sure he plays for one of the England youth teams?

Whitburn seem to be building a canny set up now from the juniors upwards. Have they had some sort of new input from someone recently?

Reminds me a bit of Eppleton who also seem to be a club on the up.

On the positive, Washington will be announcing two signings on Monday night. Stay tuned for further news

Am not involved there anymore but know a few of the first team lads from my time there as a junior.

Im not sure that there has been a big chance behind the scenes altho it always appears that Turnsy plays a great role in driving them forward on and off pitch.

They are a good example of a club who were rock bottom mid to late 90s and built slowly (rome not built in a day), with minimal gains each year.

Whitburn should have a good youth set up as they have no major competition north of river. Wearmouth do an admirable job and I dont believe Hylton any longer have a junior.
