Points necessary to finish outside the bottom 3

this season , 35 i reckon so 12 from 15 games for us , cant see Leicester or Qpr getting anymore than 35 if that , Hull could if they get rid of Bruce but reckon 35 will do it
 


I'd say it'll be between 35 and 38. Can't see many teams down there reaching 40. Quite confident we will though.
 
36.

Burnley only have 20 from 23 and they are outside the drop zone. I can't see 3 teams getting 18 points from the last 15 matches.

Richd saying 38 im surprised at , qpr and hull would have to double what they already have in 15 games and having a look at QPRs fixtures id be amazed if they get 15 nevermind 19
 
Suppose the lot at the bottom will be playing each other quite a few times..so they both can't lose, though given the state of the teams they might manage it this season.

36 and an OK goal difference will be enough.

Only 1 of them has to though if i correctly follow your logic.

I reckon 36 will be close to the correct answer mind. I'll go for 38.

was thinking the same chucky lad looking at the bottom 4 teams remaining fixtures I think 35, 36 ish will be enough

This is a good point, unless 3 teams improve drastically then you'd imagine 38 points would almost certainly be enough.

Last season was 33, so maybe it's getting lower and lower each season. 33 is pretty poor. I think it'll be closer to 40 this season though.
 
we have to be due our regular 4 or 5 game 'run' and that might be enough...either to get a nice jump in points or get confidence back in the team (both would be unthinkable, surely?)
qpr look most likely to get the points, burnley will need to have a couple of brilliant games after yesterday, they looked half bothered.
 
Purely because I'm bored....the team in 18th accrued the following points

08-09 - well that season doesn't matter, 34
09-10 Burnley - 30 points
10-11 Birmingham - 39 points
11-12 Bolton 36 points
12-13 Wigan 36 points
13-14 Norwich 33 points

17 WBA - 22
18 West Ham - 22
19 Cardiff - 21
20 Fulham - 19

This season

16 Villa 22
17 Burnley 20
18 Hull 19
